Sandwiches, soups, salads, coffee, cookies, cheesecakes, danish, pies, artisanal breads. City Scene gave high marks to the fried green tomato BLT, roast beef and Swiss, and the Colonnade club. Not as good were chicken salad plate, spinach dip. The sweets are a little too sweet for our taste, but that's a matter of personal preference.

The Red Geranium Cafe & Catering

City Scene 2007 review called it "a pretty (and pretty delightful) homegrown cafe," with decor "reminiscent of a garden," a lunch spot serving sandwiches and salads. Crab and corn soup was thick and savory, homemade chicken salad is mixed with grapes, pecans and celery; pimento cheese is a little on the sweet side, tuna salad was tasty and fresh. Quiche, however, was rubbery and overdone. Homemade desserts especially impressed, such as caramel cake, fudge brownie, hummingbird cake, 7UP cake.
