Surin 280

16 South Perimeter Park (off Hwy. 280 in the old O'Charley's location)
968-8161
Thai food and sushi menu very similar to that of Surin West. Lunch and dinner. An October 2007 City Scene review by Tom Gaskin, who lived in Thailand for a year in the late '60s, said "Surin 280 is a very attractive restaurant that offers a two-page sushi menu and a good selection of rather tame Thai food." He enjoyed fresh basil rolls, shrimp hot and sour soup, Panang chicken, and "very, very good" three-flavor fish. The "hands-down favorite" was roasted duck with red curry, followed closely by shrimp and pineapple. Disappointing were Thai barbecued chicken, chicken fried rice, lack of authentic desserts.

my wife and I took my mother here the other day... We are accustomed to the location on Southside, and ordered a few Thai Noodles... Have you ever had the bright idea to thaw frozen raw chicken in hot water? If not, you should waste the eight bucks, and try it sometime. It's an experience you'll never forget! Surin 280 didn't forget it either... It gives the chicken a flavor that is completely undescribable... like... a sour'd old... taste..? I don't know. Anyway, imagine some great Thai Noodles, with a hint of soured chicken!? That's what we had... I smelled a piece of chicken from my plate, then my wifes... then asked my mom! and even smelled it... it was horrible, like some old, left out all night, chicken!

I'll go back, don't get me wrong... but, that was bad.
