Totally the most overrated restaurant in Birmingham. I can make much better curry at home by buying the canned curry paste and coconut milk at one of the Asian markets. That's actually what they probably do, except add a bunch of sugar as well. Most everything is unnecessarily sweet. The service is decent and friendly, but its a far cry from restaurant-quality Thai food. Two out of five stars.

I completely disagree with the above. It is not authentic Thai food. It's Surin food. It's amazing, it's delicious, but it's not something you would get in Thailand. Maybe not the best thai place in town (though I've yet to find a good authentic thai place, and I've looked) but it's probably the best moderately priced restaurant in Birmingham. Get the coconut soup, the panang curry, the masaman curry, the warm chicken salad, or if you make it for lunch get the chicken noodle bowl (out of this world good). If you hate Surin you're either deluding yourself or you didn't order the right thing (beef noodle bowl = gross).
