The Pita Stop Café

1106 12th Street South, Southside

Lebanese-American specialties for lunch and dinner. A great casual place to go and get a real meal and a drink on a budget. Entrees (our favorites are lamb, beef or seafood kabobs) come with rice pilaf, pitas and delicious hummus, Greek-style salad and fruit.

The Pita Stop is the best Greek restaurant that I have been to in Birmingham. The chicken kabobs are the best and I love how the kabob dishes come in a pyrex dish!

Go for lunch. Much of the food is a bit overpriced, but the fish (esp the grouper) and other lunches can be definitely worth it.
