This was our fourth visit to Standard Bistro. Although I think there are restaurants I like better in Birmingham, we have never had a bad meal here. Actually this was my favorite meal I had here. We started with the baked oysters for oysters. They were excellent. For my entree, I had the grilled pork tenderloin with mashed sweet potatoes, braised cabbage and honey crisp apples. This is not something I would normally order but I thought it was fantastic. The flavors were excellent. For dessert my husband and I split the lava cake. It disappeared before our eyes.
