In the former Icon location. In a November 2009 City Scene review, Fletcher Harvey gave high marks to Gulf shrimp and butternut squash bisque, Caesar salad, bone-in Hereford filet, espresso creme brulee. Not so good were pan-roasted Gulf Coast scallops with black tiger shrimp risotto, two large-but-tough shrimp served with the bisque, and "ominous" mussels that were served with otherwise well-received Destin flounder. "Truly a work-in-progress," Harvey noted that Century is operated by executive chefs from Virginia College's Culinard Institute -- but this is not a teaching restaurant.

What a disappointment! The service was lacking and the food was worse. The calamari appetizer was good, but the ceasar salad was nearly tasteless. There were only 5 entree choices. I ordered the root vegetable pasta and my boyfriend ordered the filet with shrimp. My pasta was horribly bland and the "shrimp" accompanying his steak looked like they came right out of the freezer of a fast food restaurant. We gave them another shot at dessert. Unfortunately, both were horrible - we couldn't even eat the banana dessert and the chocolate bread pudding was dry. Going to this restaurant is an absolute waste of time and money. It is totally unacceptable to charge those kind of prices for such poor quality food. Likely the only reason they have any customers at all is beacause they have a captive audience of unsuspecting hotel guests.
Major disappointment. Wife and I ate here this past Valentine's day. The service was adequate, very nice atmosphere, but the food fell flat. Plus the price was outrageous considering the quality.
