On Green Springs Hwy. across from Mazer's in the Homewood area, Chop Suey's claim to fame locally is they reportedly seem to have nearly replicated the egg roll recipe from the legendary Joy Young's. Other than that, they're said to have good, inexpensive, Americanized Chinese takeout food. One person described it on Chowhound.com as "the little hole in the wall that could," and someone on the Homewood board on Al.com said, "Chop Suey is much better than that over-priced place on Valley."

Chop Suey Inn has the best Chinese food in the Birmingham area
Very tasty take-home. Egg-rolls are rivaled only by the Red Pearl. Just your basic Americanized-Chinese food. Egg rolls remind me of Joy Youngs.
I have eaten at Chop Suey Inn since I was in 5th grade (11 years). I am putting their children through college with my bi-weekly meal of Mongolian Beef that has not compared to any Chinese rendition of it in America. Be warned though. Many of my friends and family are now and forever will be addicted to their delicious meals.
This is the best chinese food ever! I've been going there since 1997 and refuse to eat chinese anywhere else. Its a ritual in my house now to eat there on Thurs and Saturdays, rarely skipping a day. I have friends/family that drive over 20 miles just to come to the little hole in the wall restaurant. Hats off to Chop Suey!
Chop Suey is oneof my favorites food from China, I like when my Mom cooks a recipe called chop suey green, it is so delicious , but sometimes I have to get Generic Viagra Online and I have not time to eat
