This tucked away place always pleases. They have service down to a science. The egg rolls are perfect, not greasy and always steaming hot on arrival. The hot & sour soup served with loads of wontons on the side is the best I've had in town. Peppery and tangy, just the way it should be. I judge a chinese restaurant by it's sesame chicken and kung pao chicken. Both entrees here were just as they needed to be. Spicy, hot (temp-wise), with adequate quantities of sauce (that is, not drowning in it). I always ask for extra spicy, and they are always willing to accommodate me.

This is one of my favorite spots in Birmingham. Fantastic service and even better food. Always fresh and quick; the combination fried rice is wonderful and never disappoints!

Definitely the best chinese restaurant in Birmingham. Everything on the menu is good. My favorites are the hot and sour soup or rice soup; the fried pot-stickers; they have great egg rolls; General Tso's chicken; Sesame Chicken; Mongolian Beef. Order something from this list and I promise you will not be disappointed.

I have been eating at Golden Palace with my family for as long as I can remember. It is our special place to go for a nice dinner, where we can talk and eat in a peaceful setting. The pork egg foo yung, fried rice and sweet and sour chilcken are family favorites. The sesame chicken is awesome as well. I am so glad that this restaurant remains in business with the large Asian buffets nearby. Do not miss this place, the staff are some of the nicest around. Great family memories have taken place at this restaurant, and hopefully many more will in the future!

I have been eating at Golden Palace for many years and have never been disappointed. My very favorite is the teriyaki chicken. I would love to get their recipe. My husband likes the sweet and sour chicken, also the hot and sour soup. YUMMMMMMMMY!!!!!!!!!!
