It's a franchise operation with locations throughout the Southeast, but it's a pretty neat concept. Half retail wine store, half wine bar, The Grape offers small gourmet plates especially designed to enjoy with wine. The Grape carries more than 150 wines on the retail side; 120 are available in the wine bar by the glass and half glass at all times. They're organized according to The Grape's own system, which classifies wine by taste. Enjoy live music on the patio some evenings. City Scene gave the food and wine high marks, but found the prices high and decried "a stereotypical wine attitude."
