My husband and I are frequent visitors of O.T.'s. On a recent Friday, before the heat wave, we dined outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Friday is the prime day to try O.T's for lunch. This is the day that their lunch menu features the Crawfish Pie, and in a word it is AWESOME. I am a South Louisiana native and have had many great Crawfish Pies and this one ranks right up there with the best of them. With the lunch special you get two vegetables, I had their Mac and Cheese and Steamed Broccoli and Cheese. The Mac and Cheese is baked with the really good creamy middle and crusty top...Mmmmm...and the broccoli was very good although there was not a lot of cheese which was fine with me, it had butter and thats all I wanted anyway. The only draw back to O.T.'s is of course the wait for a table (get there early) and because it is a Sports Bar the atmosphere is Sports Barish, which is fine for me and for most people at lunch. Overall I think its a great place and would recommend it to anyone, especially on Friday.

O.T's Bar & Grill is a neighborhood type restaurant that will put a lot of the restaurants in Bham to shame, as far as taste goes, because the owner knows what tastes good - and is very creative with things like grilled thin yellow squash cut lengthwise, fried dill pickles with outstanding batter and dip; onion straws, vegetables, soups and entrees. The ambience is not fancy, but the service is good. I like to go there because I leave wanting to return soon.
