Break 'N Bread Scheduled For Oct. 7
Mark your calendar for a taste of some of Birmingham's best locally owned restaurants at Break 'N Bread, 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Pepper Place Market.
Participants this year include 26, daniel george, Hot and Hot Fish Club, Little Savannah, Local, Standard Bistro, Ocean, Continental Bakery and Chez Lulu, Homewood Gourmet, Nabeel’s, Bright Star, Fire, Iz Too, J. Clyde, Sol y Luna, V. Richard’s, Cosmos, Nonnas, Open Door Café, Costas Famous BBQ & Steakhouse, Culinard, and Irondale Café.
For $30 ($20 if you buy online at www.birminghamoriginals.org), you get unlimited tastings from all the participating restaurants, two tickets that can be used for wine or beer (additional tickets can be purchased at the event), and live music, a children’s area, plus the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, hats and t-shirts. Teenagers are $12. Or you can go for the VIP ticket for $75 at the gate, $70 online, and also get access to the VIP tent, an upgraded wine selection and unlimited beverages.
This annual event is sponsored by the Birmingham Originals, an association that promotes dining in local independent area restaurants, to provide diners with a unique local flavor and to raise awareness of independent restaurants both locally and nationally.
