Mother's Day at Veranda
I have the menu for Mother's Day Brunch at Veranda on Highland in front of me, and it's making me hungry.
Appetizers include turtle soup, smoked chicken and sausage gumbo, lobster and smoked tomato bisque, crab and corn beignets, two different salads and a brunch parfait.
Then you can move on to smoked salmon and eggs, Veranda Benedict, duck and waffle, Jambalaya shrimp scramble, crawfish and tasso pie, or debris and eggs.
There are some special selections for those 14 and under: chicken fingers with sweet potato fries, waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, or scrambled eggs with cheese grits and bacon.
Make your reservations by calling 939-5551.

Chef Robey's brunch is always amazing! I have to drive to Atlanta for Mother's day, but I just might try and get some of his gumbo before I leave...it's the best in town, hands down.
Thanks for the link. I check it and it makes me hungry too...Its delicious!!
