The J. Clyde in Five Points South is hosting a beer dinner this Saturday starting at 6 p.m. that will feature the owners of local brewer Good People, Jason Malone and Michael Sellers.

The menu will feature of a Cask of Spiced Pale Ale served with three Irish cheeses; pale Ale served with Irish Egg and Potato Salad; IPA paired with Corned Beef and Cabbage Soup; Irish Boxty teamed up with Brown Ale; and Coffee Oatmeal Stout with Oatmeal Stout Orange Coffee Cake.

Price is $49 plus tax and gratuity, with $5 donated to Free the Hops, which is lobbying to get Alabama's law changed so we can enjoy some of the higher-alcohol-level craft brews that are currently illegal in the state. Call 939-1312 for more info.
