We stopped by Dave's Pub last night for a couple of draft beers before dinner and got to try Birmingham's own Good People beer for the first time. I think it was the American Brown Ale, and it did not disappoint. It was wonderfully malty, with just the right balance of hops, full bodied but not so heavy it went "thud". The web site says, "Many a weekend was spent perfecting this one." Other brews include a pale ale, an India pale ale, and a coffee oatmeal stout.

Good People is brewed in Five Points South in the basement of the Five Points Grill. Some of the other places you'll find Good People brews include Five Points Grill, Bottletree, Dave's Pizza, the J.
