No Bones About New Restaurant Name
Bonedaddy's restaurant is changing its name to Sweet Bones Alabama and moving to the Summit, according to a story this week in the Birmingham News.
The barbecue restaurant in the Village at Lee Branch off of Hwy. 280 near Greystone is changing its name because a Texas-based small barbecue chain was already using the name "Bonedaddy's House of Smoke."
The restaurant will be moving next month into a new, larger location at the Summit, in a renovated former On the Border restaurant. The menu is scheduled to include items such as prime ribs and steaks not available at the original Bonedaddy's, which opened a year ago. Eventually the owners hope to expand the concept outside the state.
