Orange Beach followed, and in late 2007 the Vestavia Hills store opened. A no-frills barbecue establishment, with rolls of paper towels on the tables, order-at-the-counter service. Five meat choices for sandwiches, seven platters, about 10 sides. A November 2007 City Scene review gave high marks for the pulled pork sandwich topped with marinated slaw, smoked turkey sandwich, fried catfish sandwich. "Side items ran from barely passable to really, really good," (baked beans and fried green tomatoes among the latter, sweet potato salad among the former), and shrimp Moe' boy was disappointing.
